Tim Burton's stop-motion-animated neo-noir horror film 'Frankenweenie' is a remake of Burtons 1984 short film of the same name.
I remember watching the film and thinking what a strange children's film, but now several years after I first saw the film in the cinema, I am amazed about how much thought had gone into 'Frankenweenie'. Abstract film has always interested me and the way Burton created this film and the ideas behind it are incredible.
In this interview, Burton talks about his most personal film, his horror inspirations and his love of stop-motion. I think the storyline of this film and the story behind the film make it a very special and inspiring production.
