Something I find really fascinating about 'Life of Pi' is how the director is so passionate about his work. Ang Lee also talks a lot about how he didn't use the tiger in a lot of the shots with the boy, this was because they shot it separately and used CGI most of the time. He says this is because he didn't want the tiger to get in the way of the actors performance.
Ang Lee has undoubtedly gained a huge amount of success from this film but I'm really touched at how he speaks about it, he says he measures the success on his relationship with the crew and not the box office numbers.
