Deborah Burns - Monster [Jodelle Ferland]

Jodelle Ferland is one of my favourite actresses and I have recently come across this short film which she plays the role of Hannah in- Monster [2012]. Along side the fact that Jodelle is the lead I also absolutely adore the scenery and setting for this film. It is filmed in Canada and the lakes there are stunning.

The writer and director, Deborah Burns worked with DeerBear Productions and this was released as the first film for the company.

The plot is very fable like and has a real sense of journey, the use of CGI is very basic but I took into account the difficulties of amateur software and the fact they spent almost a year on the monster.
