Inside Out - Pete Docter & Ronnie Del Carmen

'Inside Out' is a film about 11 year old Riley, and the moral behind the film is that it's ok to be sad sometimes. The directors' and actors had to get inside an 11 year old girls head which I found so interesting.

The concept behind this film must have taken serious amounts of thought because it's incredibly complex, creating a kids film about depression- not easy.

Joy, Fear, Sadness, Disgust & Anger inside Riley's head.

The film uses characters called Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger to represent the emotions inside Riley's head. The idea of using a control station approach is clever because children can get their heads around it better! The characters are also fun and engaging for the children.

The one downfall I found with this film is the story line is very repetitive for someone older like me and almost frustrating as Joy and Sadness's plans continue to fail getting back to HQ.
